"A friend of mine who has been with State Farm for over 16 years, filed a claim in January for a fender bender. NO MONEY WAS PAID OUT. 9 months later hit a curb…. The cost of repair would be $3000. He wanted to file a claim. State Farm told him that he could file a claim, but that they would drop him because he had two claims in one year In 16 years, no claims have been filed! So for a $2500 claim (3k minus the $500 deductible) They were going to drop him If he filed the claim. Why you even have insurance if you can’t utilize it?! State Farm is and has horrible claim service! My advice from my Attorney? Go with Progressive or Geico! They’ll play the claim with very little fuss. They’re not going to give you an exorbitant amount but will pay a fair claim in a timely manner. Overpriced scammers!. I should know. I used to be an insurance agent."
